#564 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Acquired 2010

Bob and I attended the Southern Gospel Music Mexican Riviera Cruise in October 2010. In that he was still recovering from his summer stroke, we chose not to get off the ship at the regular ports. However, Wilma Pound and I decided to go shopping at the stop in Puerto Vallarta and leave the “guys” on the ship. I found this whimsical, clay pottery set at Fabiola's - an upscale Mexican gift shop. The sets are hand-crafted by a friend of the store owners in a nearby Mexican village town. It caught my eye because of its folk look and yet has the hair coloring and faces of the Mexican people. The 10-piece set was $89.
