#768 Tin Siding Metal Nativity

Acquired 2016

A sweet gift from my sister-in-law, Kathi Magruder, this unusual nativity is made from old, rusted, rippled tin possibly from a building roof or siding. The previously used rusted tin has been shaped into an 18” tall stable that is 15” wide. Within the stable is Mary, Joseph and the Baby also carved from the tin. The artist then used a flat piece of totally rusted brown tin to carve the word JOY across the top of the stable.Kathi found this unique piece at the Farmer's Gift Store in Turlock, where she is now a resident. It is wonderful to have her here close to all the family. She and our niece, Kali, moved to our area this summer coming from Paso Robles. Christmas, 2016.
